About Solano Dialysis Access Center

Solano Dialysis Access Center was founded in Solano County in October 2007. Supported by two major Nephrology practices, East Bay Nephrology Medical Group and Solano Kidney Care Dialysis comprised of 23 physicians caring for more than 1500 hemodialysis patients, the program is operational three days per week throughout the year. A total of about 800-900 cases are done annually by 7 highly experienced interventional nephrologists to minimize the hospitalizations for dialysis patients.

Dialysis Access care was not new to East Bay Nephrology Medical Group when Solano DAC opened. They started Dialysis Access Center to care for vascular access issues of dialysis patients. It initially operated in the outpatient setting across Sutter Solano Hospital in Vallejo, California.

On Octover 12, 2018 after 11 years of providing access service at the Vallejo location, Solano DAC was moved to an established free standing ambulatory surgery center facility in Benicia, CA. To meet the needs of patients in Solano and Napa counties they started Solano Dialysis Access Center in 2007. Vessel Mapping, Thrombectomy, venogram and angioplasty of dialysis access and related vessels, short and long term dialysis catheter insertion, Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter insertions, removal and exchange are all performed at the center with the use of moderate sedation in most circumstances.

There is one procedure room fully equipped to do interventional procedures in a safe and efficient manner. There is ample supply storage area separate from the procedure rooms. Supplies are tracked by an inventory program. There are two offices for the Medical Director, and Clinical Manager and Physicians working at the center. There is also a large break and conference room for the medical staff and meetings.
