We would like to welcome you to Dialysis Access Center.

You have been scheduled for an appointment with one of our providers in the coming days.

Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your appointment. You may take your blood pressure medications in the morning of your appointment with a little water if needed.

Important: If you are taking coumadin or warfarin, please stop taking it 4 days prior to your scheduled appointment to avoid the risk of bleeding after your procedure.

If you have an allergy to seafood or contrast dye, please notify us immediately at (510) 251-1002. If you have such an allergy, premedication with prednisone prior to your procedure may be required

You may be sedated for this procedure. Please have someone accompany you to this appointment if possible. You will not be able to drive if you are sedated for your procedure. Your appointment will take approximately three to four (3-4) hours. Please call us at (510) 251-1002 if you need to change this appointment date or time.

To summarize the information above:

  • Do NOT Eact or Drink after midnight prior to the procedure
  • Hold your blood thinners for 4 days;
  • Notify us if you are allergic to seasfood or x-ray dye;
  • You may be sedated for the procedure. You cannot drive if you are sedated;
